Selection process
Selection is based purely on GATE score; there is no written test or interview for merit ranking.
Online Application
Register, fill the application form, upload documents, and pay the applicable fee (if any) online at recruitment.nic.in, in 4 steps: Registration, Form & document upload, Fee payment, Download confirmation page.
Eligibility Screening
Only candidates meeting the eligibility criteria and who have completed registration are considered for further selection.
Merit List Preparation
A discipline-wise merit list is prepared based on GATE score, with GATE 2024, 2025 and 2026 scores given equal weightage.
Document Verification
Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification, as per vacancies, at Delhi or another location approved by the competent authority, before being offered provisional appointment. No TA/DA is paid.
Provisional Appointment
Candidates found eligible after document verification are offered provisional appointment, subject to fulfilment of all other eligibility criteria.
Application fee
Fee is non-refundable and payable online only. Candidates applying for more than one discipline must pay ₹800 separately for each discipline. Bank charges, if any, are borne by the candidate.
