Interview
Shortlisted candidates will be informed of the date and time via email well in advance. The interview is likely to be held online in the third or fourth week of October 2026. No separate interview letter will be issued.

PhD enrolment expected The candidate is expected to join the PhD program in project mode and may be considered for the PhD program after fulfilling the required criteria as per IIT Kharagpur rules.
Career progression The position is initially for one year, extendable to a second year based on performance. Upon successful completion of two years, the JRF will be converted to an SRF in the 3rd year with a salary of Rs. 42,000 + 10% HRA per month.
