| Qualification — Route A (Experience-based) | Three years regular and full-time Graduate in any discipline (UGC/AICTE recognized university) AND two years regular and full-time Post Graduate in any discipline AND one year Government-recognized Diploma in Executive Assistant/Executive Personal Assistant/Office Management and Secretarial Practice/Modern Office Management/Stenography or equivalent, PLUS minimum 4 years of relevant post-qualification work experience (after graduation) as Secretarial Assistant/Secretary or similar roles as on 01.07.2026. Training, apprentice training and internship periods do not count toward this experience. |
| Qualification — Route B (Direct degree route) | Three years regular and full-time Bachelor's degree / B.Voc / BA(VS) / B(Voc) in Office Management and Secretarial Practice (or equivalent titles as specified) AND a regular and full-time Post Graduate degree in any discipline from a UGC/AICTE recognized university. No separate post-qualification experience is mandated under this route. |
| Minimum Percentage | Minimum 55% marks in the final year of Graduation (50% for SC candidates), irrespective of weightage given to any particular semester/year by the Institute/University. Where CGPA/OGPA/SGPA or a letter grade is awarded, the equivalent percentage must be indicated as per the university's conversion norms. |

| Higher Qualification | Candidates possessing a higher qualification than prescribed will not be given any consequential benefit for it at a later stage of service; no NOC will be provided if pursuing a higher qualification at the time of joining. |
| In-service Candidates | Candidates employed in Central/State Government, Quasi-Government, PSUs or Autonomous Bodies must forward their application through proper channel or produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of Skill Test, failing which they will not be allowed to appear. |
Selection process
Selection comprises an Online Test followed by a qualifying Skill Test.
Online Test
Computer-based objective test of 100 questions in 90 minutes: 50 questions from the discipline/qualifying degree curriculum (2 marks each) and 50 questions from General English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning & General Knowledge (1 mark each). Negative marking applies for wrong answers. Conducted at centres in Bhopal, Delhi/Delhi NCR, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Guwahati, Kolkata, Mumbai/Navi Mumbai/Thane/MMR region and Nagpur, in Hindi and English. Weightage: 100% (rounded to 2 decimal places).
100% weightageDocument Verification
Documents are verified against eligibility criteria before the Skill Test. Candidates failing to meet eligibility or unable to produce complete original documents will not be allowed to appear for the Skill Test.
Skill Test
Qualifying in nature, comprising Practical Job Knowledge and Handling of Role (70 marks), Safety Awareness and Computer Knowledge (20 marks), and Communication Skills (10 marks), totaling 100 marks. Candidates must score a minimum of 60 marks (55 for SC candidates) to qualify. Result is Suitable/Unsuitable for the post.
QualifyingPre-Employment Medical Examination
Candidates must be declared medically fit as per RCF's pre-employment medical standards. Comprises physical examination, audiometry, ECG, vision tests, pathology investigation, X-Ray chest, lung function test, height and weight, BMI and any other test the Medical Officer recommends.
Final Merit & Empanelment
Separate discipline-wise merit lists are drawn for UR/SC/OBC(NCL)/EWS candidates based on Online Test performance, subject to successful document verification and a qualifying Skill Test result. Candidates with nil or negative marks in the Online Test are ineligible for the Skill Test. Ties are resolved by percentage in the qualifying exam, then SSC percentage, then date of birth (older is senior).
Application fee
Fee is non-refundable and payable online only via Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, CashCards or Mobile Wallets. No other mode of payment is accepted. In case of cancellation of the recruitment advertisement due to administrative reasons, the fee will be refunded subsequently.
